Understanding Your Reservation Status
You can track the status of any booking from your Reservations page. Here is what each status means:
Reserved
- Your R100 reservation fee has been received
- Hoplocation is reviewing and preparing your booking confirmation
- You will receive confirmation within 24 hours
Balance Due
- Your booking has been confirmed by Hoplocation
- Your remaining balance is due within 24 hours
- Pay promptly to secure your stay — failure to pay will lapse the reservation
Paid / Confirmed
- Full payment has been received
- Your stay is fully booked and confirmed
- Check your booking details for host contact and access information
Pending
- Your payment is being processed
- No action needed — this usually resolves within a few minutes
Failed
- Your payment was unsuccessful
- Check your card details or try a different payment method
- Contact your bank if the issue persists
Expired
- The payment window closed before payment was completed
- Your reservation has lapsed and the property is released
- You will need to start a new reservation if still interested
Cancelled
- The booking was cancelled by you or by Hoplocation
- Refer to the cancellation policy for refund eligibility
Refund Pending
- Your refund has been approved and is being processed
- This can take up to 30 working days depending on your bank or payment provider
Refunded
- Your refund has been successfully returned to your original payment method
Where to check your status
1. Log in to your account
2. Go to Reservations
3. Select the booking to view full details and payment breakdown
