Before you book
- Read the full listing description, photos, and recent guest reviews
- Check that the listing includes safety amenities such as smoke detectors and fire extinguishers
- Review house rules and access instructions before confirming
- Use Hoplocation messaging for all communication with hosts
- Never pay outside of the Hoplocation platform
Before you arrive
- Your host contact details are included in your booking confirmation email from booking.mail@hoplocation.co.za
- Confirm your arrival time and access instructions with the host in advance
- Save the host's contact number offline in case of connectivity issues
- Check the local load shedding schedule for your area
During your stay
- Take photos on arrival to document the condition of the property
- Secure your valuables and use any provided safes where available
- Keep emergency numbers saved on your phone
- Report any safety concerns to your host immediately and follow up with Hoplocation if unresolved
